I stumbled upon this resource quite by accident in August 2023. It’s an online pdf of the register for St. Michael & All Angels covering almost two hundred and fifty years, and is an amazing document.
Clicking the page below should take you directly to the UK Genealogy Archives website where the document can be enlarged, scrolled, and each page ‘turned’. There are also transcriptions of names (should any be needed!) beneath each image. You will note that there are similar archives for Eagle, Doddington, Skellingthorpe, Thorpe on the Hill, Heckington, Carlton-le-Moorland and Stapleford!
In addition, there is a searchable database for the same information on FreeReg. The advantage here is that you can also search for births and You will need to input names of people that you wish to search for and then select ‘Lincolnshire’ for the county, and ‘Bassingham’ for the place’ Watch out for bizarre spellings!
